When measuring your dog's neck, always use a cloth measuring tape.

For Sighthounds:
Measure loosely around the largest part of the dog's neck.
Do this several times to make sure your measurement is accurate.

For most other breeds:
Measure loosely around the largest part of the dog's neck.
Do this several times to make sure your measurement is accurate.
In addition to the neck measurement, we also need the measurement of the largest part of the dog's head.
Take the tape measure and start under the chin and measure up around the largest part of the head.
